If you have ever felt like you need to be apart of history, now is another one of those chances. Mars One, the privately funded exploration to mars has just launched their crowd funding campaign.
The ultimate goal is to settle man on the red planet permanently, and this first major round of funding is one step closer to that goal. This funding will help Lockheed Martin and Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. (SSTL) to develop the mission concept studies for the first private mars lander and satellite.
Of course as with any crowd funding project there are the perks, and the Mars One perks are pretty awesome. These goodies range from the humble T-shirt to selfies of your picture in space, all the way to being at the launch party for the first rocket launch in 2018. The JaJa by HEX3 is an intriguing member from the small family of styli for our finger oriented capacitive touch devices. The JaJa is my first pressure sensitive pen designed for iPad and Android tablets, and I can say it is a very impressive piece of technology so far. After you get past the price of $115 Aussie Dollars direct from HEX3 (Adding all the extra charges for everything, you know how it is), you get a pretty nice piece of technology that is a bit different to the rest.

What makes this stylus unique is that it does not use any standard wireless technology to communicate with your devices such as Bluetooth. Instead it uses high frequency sounds to achieve its communication with any application enabled for the JaJa on any device, be it an iPad or an Android. Today I received the OtterBox Armor Series for iPhone 5. After playing around with it for the day this is my current opinion, if you want an iron man suit for your phone look no further. OtterBox over the last few years had made some very versatile cases for all your tech gadgets, and when it came to the Armor Series, OtterBox has gone back to its roots of making indestructible (almost I can think of a few ways to destroy them) boxes for your belongings and paring this with your modern gadgets. What you get is a water, drop, crush, and dust resistant housing for your expensive and fragile smart phone. Continue reading
